Our Story

My story begins as a kid growing up reading comic books and manga, fascinated by the art and storytelling. I then discovered hip hop and other music genres and that changed my world. I was so moved by albums and graphic novels that I decided to combine the two and AKARTS Comics was born in 2015.

My work is truly a homage to these works of art. My designs are influenced by them, hoping to return the favor, in a full circle sort of way. I bring forth my perspective through a mastery and deep understanding of graphic design and illustration, as well as pop culture and music. I hope I evoke in you an emotional response similar to the little kid I was in awe at albums and graphic novels covers alike.

AKARTS Comics now serves customers worldwide and I work tirelessly to bring to you quality garments with creative designs. Designed in Canada, my hip hop and anime inspired clothing is unique, affordable, and all original to make you stand out. This is the world through my eyes. I hope you enjoy it.
